GNSS Deformation Monitoring & Early Warning for Mines

All-weather, millimeter-level, unattended monitoring powered by BeiDou/GPS high-precision positioning.

Key Monitoring KPIs

By deploying high-density GNSS terminals, the system captures tiny surface displacements in real time. The KPIs below highlight key performance advantages over traditional manual monitoring.

Horizontal / Vertical Accuracy
2mm

RTK carrier-phase differential positioning enables millimeter-level deformation detection.

All-weather Operation
24h

Works in rain, snow and fog—day and night—providing an uninterrupted data stream.

Alert Response Time
<3s

Alerts are triggered immediately after processing and pushed to management terminals within seconds.

Real-time Deformation Trend Tracking

The chart above shows the cumulative 3D displacement at a key monitoring point (TP-03) over the past 30 days.

Manual surveys are constrained by weather and lighting, producing discrete data. GNSS automation generates continuous and smooth curves and can capture sudden acceleration trends (e.g., post-rain displacement acceleration around days 22–24), buying valuable time for evacuation decisions.

Key Insight

X-direction (east–west) displacement shows a clear acceleration trend after heavy rainfall, and the system automatically marks a yellow warning.

Spatial Distribution & Stability Analysis

With 3D slope modeling and point mapping, we can visualize stability across elevations and zones. The chart below simulates monitoring point distribution where color represents cumulative settlement. Red indicates higher settlement requiring priority attention.

End-to-end Workflow

From satellite signal acquisition to final alert delivery, the system automates the entire pipeline and minimizes human error.
